Traiano Ring
Spanning the centuries in a single glance. This extraordinary ring, crafted from pure 24-karat gold, brings the immortal allure of Imperial Rome back to life. At its center lies a precious, mid-19th-century engraved carnelian depicting Emperor Trajan (98–117 AD)—one of the most celebrated figures in Roman history, a symbol of strength, wisdom, and prosperity.
Carved in the refined European tradition of glyptic art, the stone captures the profile of the great emperor with striking delicacy and depth. The warm red hue of the carnelian seems to hold the light of ages past, turning every reflection into a silent dialogue with history.
To house this engraved gem, our workshop created an exclusive ring in pure 24-karat gold, employing the ancient technique of cuttlebone casting. This time-honored process allows the form to emerge directly from the natural impression left within a cuttlebone, ensuring that every piece is unique and full of character. The soft, gold surfaces—shaped by fire and the artisan’s hand—retain the memory of an ancestral craft, while the historic stone serves as the piece’s narrative heart. This is more than just a jewel; it is a meeting point for different eras: the Ancient Rome evoked by Trajan’s effigy, the 19th century represented by the exquisite engraving, and the present day, embodied by Venetian craftsmanship. A one-of-a-kind creation, designed for those who seek not only beauty but the privilege of wearing a history that spans more than two thousand years. A unique specimen, crafted in our Venice workshop.
Dear customer, this jewel may not be available immediately, but it is reproducible and customizable
