This is the result of our research: a ring that doesn’t look modern, but antique, as if it were crafted in an 18th-century workshop using traditional techniques such as cuttlefish casting. The Vecio Leon is an 18-karat yellow gold ring depicting the Lion of Saint Mark, a symbol of majesty, power, and protection. Known as the winged lion or lion of St. Mark, it represents the evangelist Mark and has been the emblem of the city of Venice for centuries. It is found throughout the lands once under the dominion of the Venetian Republic and in many historic institutions, including the Marine Infantry, who defended Venice from Austro-Hungarian attacks.
